Jiuzhai Valley or known locally as Jiuzhaigou means
"Valley of Nine Villages" in Chinese. It is a nature reserve and
national park located in the north of Sichuan, China. Jiuzhai Valley is best known for its
crystal blue and green lakes, fabulous waterfalls, narrow conic karst land
forms and its unique wildlife.
Jiuzhai Valley was inscribed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1992 and a World Biosphere Reserve in 1997.
